ACT 2010 – Why are people still using Outlook for tasks?

ACT By Sage 2010 Training Tutorials – The most fantastic ACT resource on the web – Step By Step Tutorials, videos, audios, advice and a whole host of value – www.act-2010.co.uk

==========================================================================

I’ve just received several emails from long term subscribers who, to my horror, have continued to use Outlook to manage their tasks rather than incorporating all activities into their ACT 2010 database

Now I won’t bore you with all the details but suffice to say, they are missing out on a huge opportunity by continuing to run two seperate systems and not only that, one that doesn’t even come close when it comes to really managing relationships (I’m obviously referring to Outlook here not ACT)

Anyway, the sheer lack of appreciation as to what ACT 2010 is genuinely capable of (and in this case many earlier versions aswell), I just have to take a stand and do something about it

Therefore over the weekend, I will be recording another really informative tutorial that will take you through the whole process step by step, and educate you on the best practice in respect of ACT activities

Keep your eye out early next week, however I will send out several broadcasts informing you of my new post

Looks like naivity is still very rife amongst the majority of the ACT community

Super Keith to the rescue!!!

Have a great weekend

ACT 2010 Tutorial Training – Customising Toolbars in ACT 2010

ACT By Sage 2010 Training Tutorials – The most fantastic ACT resource on the web – Step By Step Tutorials, videos, audios, advice and a whole host of value – http://www.act-2010.co.uk

==========================================================================

I’ve just finished a hugely successful 2 day workshop here in Southampton, UK and it’s quite scary how naive most ACT users are in respect of basic customisation.  ACT is so flexible and yet so few ever go beyond the default settings

 Well today I want to give you a quick insight into how you can modify your toolbars, both using basic techniques and also using slightly more advanced custom commands to link to external files

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtSlNJirl44

The video is only about 10 minutes long but nonetheless, should give you another indication as to what you can do with ACT to really make it work for you

Enjoy!

In the past, I was often exposed to the most ridiculous comments from naive users suggesting ACT 2010 wasn’t very good at filtering records (well words to that effect!!!)

Well I’ve never heard so much rubbish in all my life because typically, it’s the program at all.  In most cases, it’s the data contained within it

If you can relate to this, you must watch my next video

Somewhat off topic today but nonetheless, just as important.

You see, I want to build a sustainable relationship with you, so rather than just another link to a vaulable tutorial, all you’re getting today, is a glimpse into my life away from ACT (and yes, I do have one!)
